About Brad Lewis

Lazy Brad Lewis’ background is extremely diverse. Born in Toronto,Canada, Brad grew up on the streets of South Central Los Angeles.  He soon became a regular performer on the local country scene of hardcore country clubs like Walts, Foothill Club, Blue Bayou, and The Palomino .

He was a guitar student of Earnest Mclean (Fats Domino, Lloyd Price), and worked and recorded with Will Ray, Chris Allen Burke, George Griffin, Kari Gaffney, Bill Barrett and Carla Olsen.

Brad has opened for the Bangles and played with Jo Dee Messina at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The California Country Music Golden West Chapter his group Cheyenne got Group of the Year, and he was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year.

Recent solo CDs include All My Friends are Bartenders, Bound to Roam, and DownInside, which is in regular rotation in Europe on many blues stations.

Current projects include working with Silver Kings, Claremont Voodoo Society, Lance Mowdy Band, The Boilermakers, The Road Kill Kings, Grand Junction Band, and the Lazy Brad Lewis Band.

Brad and chromatic and diatonic harmonica player Bill Barrett will be touring Europe again this year, playing in iconic music venues. They will start the annual tour at The Blue Note in Dresden, Germany on September 26th.
